Alan started his working life as an apprentice toolmaker, specialising in press tooling, jigs & fixtures.

His career has taken him from a tradesman to managing various toolrooms in high volume manufacturing sites.

He spent many years working abroad overseeing new tooling being manufactured before joining the Teknek team in the role of Engineering Manager.

Outside of work Alan is a keen hill walker who loves being outdoors and can be found on one of Scotland’s mountains most weekends.
